Energy in Motion

Movement is a path back to alignment. Marcus teaches precision without aggression and grace without collapse, using breath, stance, and footwork to quiet the mind and organize the body. Each drill builds clean mechanics and presence so power serves clarity and conscience. The work is grounded, ethical, and practical in daily life.

In the accompanying video, you see how simple sequences and controlled pacing create stability you can feel. Marcus slows the tempo to show structure, then links breath to motion so focus, balance, and timing improve together. The takeaway is repeatable practice you can carry into any room, from training hall to daily life, with a clear center that does not waver.

Bio & Background

Marcus began training in 1991 at Mudo College of Taekwondo in Orange Park, Florida, where he learned fundamentals, forms, and the core values that still guide him today: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, and self control. He competed at local, state, and national levels and served as an assistant instructor, learning as much from losses as from wins and shaping a practice that honors discipline and humility.

Marine Corps boot camp in 1997 strengthened his focus and hand to hand skills. In 2004 he stepped into the Ko Am Mudo Federation under Grandmaster Jun Kim, with ongoing mentorship from Grandmaster Rick Campbell. A traditional tea ceremony in 2007 marked his adoption into that lineage. He later added Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and kickboxing to expand his understanding of practical self defense and to keep his training honest and usable.

His work as a martial artist is part of a larger calling that includes Reiki, writing, voice, and mentorship. He built his creative company to bring wellness and ambition under one roof so strength can meet softness and technique can serve presence. On and off the mat he aims for alignment, and he shows up fully so he can help others do the same.
